The Semi-Retired Foamer has been a railfan since he was around 5 years old, oh yes a very young age, an age when one really should avoid being involved with the gunzel community to any great extent. A few rather unsavoury people bringing that fact home.
After a few decades of train chasing, one decided to break with protocol and get married, thus leading to a severe cut in railfan activity.
Subsequent dealings with hate breeders, lunatics, mental defectives and self-appointed preservation overlords lead to an even greater decrease in my hobby participation.
However things have changed thanks to our small group of trusted mates, interest has returned, and now I have become a bit more involved yet again.

Over the years I have tried my best to further both the hobby, as well as the friendships that it brings. I have done this by setting up proactive groups both here in Australia, as well as the Philippines. It is with huge honour that I am often considered the founding father of the railfan hobby in the Philippines (my second home).
_
I don't take the hobby too seriously and I am a friend to anyone who is good and genuine. But never forgive those who have used their hate to destroy my hobby or hurt the friends within it.

Let's Make The Hobby Great Again!
I aim to share the era that I considered mine, the 80s and 90s. I also like to help promote, and even raise funds for, the various heritage societies that keep the era alive

~~ HAPPY NEW YEAR ~~

Hello my fellow foamer friends and welcome to a new year full of train fun and any other bollocks you may well be into, as queer and kinky as that may be.
As I sit here making my first pointless post on the site for 2009, I can hear the distant sound of a freighter screaming through Mt Colah station. No idea what it is, although it does have the unmistakable, and mind numbingly boring, EMD sound.

So no matter how you spend your gunzel year (illegally riding trains, trespassing in yards, fare evading, panning for poo nuggets or riding tours) I wish you all a happy and safe one. I trust you will enjoy reading this website over the coming twelve months.

So what does the next 12 months have in store for the 'Semi-Retired Foamer' site?
No bloody idea really, I will make it up as we go along.
Certainly there will be the usual array of train and other photos, its a safe bet a number of hornbags will also make an appearance, along with my strange, but insightful, views on the hobby and those within it.
In line with tradition, we will not be featuring queer stuff, or that of people batting for the otherside, however shots of a spewing Colonel are almost a certainty.

It will be another big year on the railways - many changes in operations, many new locomotives, new operators starting and older ones dying.
Yes there will be huge amounts of railway nows in 2009 and you can count on the 'Semi-Retired Foamer' to totally overlook it and rave on with endless crap about the past, or current stuff of no real relevance.

Please enjoy - or just rack off.
