6-11-2021 - TARRO & SANDGATE

With us diseased Sydneysiders now allowed to venture out of our LGA, and into the regional areas, opportunity was taken to rack off forthwith to the Hunter Valley.

Twas just for the one day, but what a vast relief to get away from the weeks of looking at walls.

Please enjoy, if you feel so inclined.

8218 DL47 8127 passes Sandgate station with another loaded grain destined for port.

Surfside Buslines #943, presumably on its delivery run.

A bit of a treat for my fellow service station fans.
Somehow I have never made it to this part of Beresfield previously.
Given the reemergence of the AMPOL name, it seems that Curley may have been able to tell the future.
Great to see the original logo, and in such great condition.

Dr Cooties was found lurking around Tarro.

Coal hopper PHWH-02162 retains the old G&W logo, despite now being owned by One Rail, and with another possible change to come.

Coal hopper QHAH-51671 is one of many to still retain the old QR National name.

Nice to see this footpath upgrade. It now cuts a good five metres off a walk to the station.

I'm thinking this is the first time I have scored four trains in the one shot. Took over 50 years, but it was worth it I guess.
