28/08/2024: DownsSteam based in the Toowoomba suburb of Drayton has commenced operating services for the public on Qld Rail track using a pair of 2000 cl railmotors modified decades ago for the QR Commissioner plus C16 106 (the reason DownsSteam exists) and BB 181/4 1037 hauling SX cars (ex Brisbane suburban stock). See the website to book a ride. The site is open for inspection on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 9am and 3pm.
